“Confirm your login to the Passwarden account” and “Incorrect sign-in method”

Have you recently received a letter titled Confirm your login to the Passwarden account or Incorrect sign-in method? In this piece, we explain what these letters mean, why you may receive them, and what to do if you receive one even though you haven’t used Passwarden for some time (if at all).

The Email “Confirm your login to the Passwarden account”

The

This is a letter with a one-time code we send you to grant you access to your account without entering the password. In Passwarden, this is only possible if you use the Fast Login feature to request the one-time code for entry. Fast Login is a convenient way to quickly access your account without having to remember or type your Passwarden password.

Once you receive the Confirm your login to the Passwarden account email after using the Fast Login feature, simply enter the one-time code on the Passwarden sign-in screen to access your account.

What if I didn’t use the Fast Login feature and still received the email?

It’s possible that someone entered your email address by mistake when trying to use the Fast Login feature. If you receive the Confirm your login to the Passwarden account letter but didn’t use the Fast Login feature, simply ignore that email. You may even receive several emails in a row if someone repeatedly tries to use your email for Fast Login.

Important! Never share the one-time code you receive in the email with anyone. KeepSolid employees will never ask for your one-time code.

What if I haven’t used Passwarden for a long time, or never used it at all, and still receive the email?

If someone enters your email address when using the Fast Login feature, you will receive the confirmation letter even if you don’t have a Passwarden account or haven’t used it for a while. Simply ignore the email.

The Email “Incorrect sign-in method”

The

You will receive this email if you try to access your account using an incorrect sign-in method. For example, if you signed up via a Gmail account but later try to sign in using a Facebook account. By clicking the Manage button in the email, you will be able to review and manage the list of entry points of your KeepSolid profile.

I received this email but don’t recall using KeepSolid apps

If you received the Incorrect sign-in method email without attempting to access KeepSolid apps, be sure to change your KeepSolid password and the passwords of your entry points. It’s possible that somewhere on the internet your login-password combination has been leaked and now someone is trying to use it to access your KeepSolid account.

If you don’t recall using ever using KeepSolid apps, maybe you signed up for one of our products a long time ago. So now if you or someone else tries to sign in using your entry point, you will also receive the Incorrect sign-in method email. If you’re certain you don’t want to receive these emails in the future, you can always unsubscribe from them by clicking Unsubscribe in the lower-right corner of the email.
