The term Objective may have several meanings. In a global sense, Objective is the main business goal you want to achieve.
When creating a new Objective you have to enter an Objective name, which is the ultimate goal. All your Objectives are shown in the Objectives tab of the Goals app. For each Objective, you need to create an Objective Map of related Key Results and Sub-Key Results, and break them down into manageable tasks. Thus, the Objective is also a structured set of activities (Key Results, Sub-Key Results, and Tasks) that need to be completed to achieve the desired outcome.
Objective Map is a neat way to visualize what it takes to achieve your ultimate goal. Such a visual way helps team members and stakeholders get a better understanding of the process.
