How to Set Up KeepSolid SmartDNS on Sony TV

Important notice before you start your Sony TV setup

We recommend you to write down your current Sony TV DNS settings before you switch to our DNS addresses. This information will be required when you decide to revert to your original configurations.

To unblock streaming services with our KeepSolid SmartDNS app, you have to register your IP address. Check out how to manage your IP address in the KeepSolid SmartDNS App and your KeepSolid User Office here

Besides, we recommend you to block Google DNS servers (8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4) on your router, otherwise you may not be able to bypass geo-restrictions and access the desired content.

How to change DNS on Sony Smart TV

  1. Press Home on your Sony TV
  2. Choose Setup
  3. Proceed to Network > Network Setup
  4. Depending on how your Sony TV is connected to the Internet, choose Wired Setup or Wireless Setup
  5. Select Custom
  6. Enter the addresses of KeepSolid SmartDNS servers in the Primary and Secondary DNS fields. See our DNS server addresses below:

    62.210.136.158 - European DNS
    69.162.67.202 - US DNS

Note: You should use the DNS server closest to your real location as the Primary DNS server and the other server as the secondary one for your Sony Smart TV.

  1. Restart your Sony TV, so that the changes come into force.

Note: Each time your IP changes, our service will stop working for you. To continue using the service, make sure to update your IP address via your User Office or KeepSolid SmartDNS app.

That’s it! You’ve successfully completed your Sony TV setup with KeepSolid SmartDNS configurations. Once you’ve changed your Sony DNS server address with our US or European DNS, you can watch American Netflix, Hulu, BBC iPlayer, or Amazon Prime wherever you are, with absolutely no restrictions. Enjoy the extended world of entertainment and streaming media with KeepSolid SmartDNS!
